Rollon Hydraulics Pvt. Ltd. was founded by me in Bangalore in the year 1994. At the time Rollon was distributing hydraulic sealing systems in India for Busak + Shamban (now Trellerborg AB), USA. The success of this distribution business was followed by a diversification into manufacturing of sealing systems in a joint venture with Trelleborg AB. In the year 2005, Rollon Hydraulics diversified into manufacturing of high-precision hydraulic components used in pumps and valves. Our Rollon Hydraulics family is over 220+ employees strong today.
In the year 1998, I established a manufacturing joint venture company with Trellerborg in Bangalore, Trellerborg Sealing Solutions India. The company soon became a leading sealing solutions provider in the Indian market. The key customers were OEM manufacturers of construction equipment, aerospace and industrial machinery. After selling my equity stake in Trellerborg Sealing Solutions India in the year 2007, I moved on to newer challenges and ventures, shifting my base to Singapore in the process.

I think of myself as a lifelong learner and a changemaker. In this journey of learning I have had quite a few lifechanging experiences. One such experience was my expedition to Antarctica under the professional tutelage of a National Geographic team.
A full-length English feature film that I produced in India was another such project for me. “Mango Soufflé” was a pioneering film that we made with the objective of normalizing a much-shunned topic in our country. We adapted Mahesh Dattani’s play, “On a Muggy Night in Mumbai”. This movie was done with the objective of addressing sensitive issues such as marginalization and social exclusion. At a time when homosexuality was only a word whispered behind closed doors, my team and I brought it out for open discussion. The movie had a theatrical release in 2002 and was showcased in 33 countries around the World.
I also enjoy mentoring young entrepreneurs and help them channelize their energy and expertise. I like working on ideas that are not only about profits but also about positive impact on our World. I want to be able to contribute to the general welfare of human society and encourage my team to do the same.
